Takoyaki restaurant with traditional taste. You can also feel the history from the front sign. Takoyaki is full of heaven and a little bit smaller. The outside is a little potash, and the inside comes after the texture of Tenkasu comes. After all it is a nostalgic taste. You can eat it in the store, and it is easy to eat while it is small.
MoreDelicious and affordable. The staff is really nice, even though they don't speak enough english, they do their best to communicate with you. We ordered a second round because the Takoyakis are so good.
MoreWe went to visit this spot for lunch after watching Street Food Osaka on Netflix. It was easy to find and we went back for a second plate because we enjoyed their takoyaki so much. The balls are small so they don’t get too gloggy and they add a tiny bit of ginger (and something else that I couldn’t decipher!) which was a nice surprise. They didn’t allow us to sit in the back with the other customers the first round we ordered (which was a bit weird but fine) but then did allow us when we came back for a second plate. We wondered if they’d had bad experiences with tourists previously. They have the typical takoyaki sauce if you’d like it but no bonito flakes - this place keeps it simple and I’m all good with that!
MoreAmazingggggggg
3 star but an extra star for the unexpected and interesting pillowy effect. There are pockets of air inside the takoyaki balls... I don't know how. I think it's because of the continuous flipping and turning but it's a nice effect. Flavoursome but missing the crispness. No topping except for sauce.
MoreThe best Takoyaki in Japan
One of the street food I had in Japan. A must try if you visit Osaka!
Best takoyaki we have ever tried!!! Tastes better without the sauce! We got half with sauce half without and we definitely enjoyed and prefered the ones with no sauce. There was a little bit of a que but im so glad we went and tried it out! Highly recommend this place and can understand why it was featured in Netflix.
MoreSo good! Highly recommend. Come early to avoid lines.
It is good.
Delicious takoyakis!
I think is one of the best takoyaki I ate here in Japan, also is pretty cheap (8 is 400¥ ~4$)
MoreVery good. I had a few Takoyakis in Osaka and this seemed to be done the right way.
MoreWe go to this place purposely for the takoyaki ball that is crispy outside flavorful inside . A must come for tako fans
MoreTraditional takoyaki place which definitely does it the way it should. You may think it's just another takoyaki place but my point is while they do "the same" as most others they just do it well or better! Definitely recommended
MoreIt's pleasant to eat good tasting takoyaki in a restaurant with history.
Rec from Street Food.
Found it while walking around the Shotengai. Very traditional, local favorite, Takoyaki shop, operated by Mom and Son, I believe. Unlike many other chain shops in Osaka, they do not put much toppings on their takoyaki, not even mayo, but keep it very traditionally. While outside is crispy, inside is soft. I liked it a lot. There is a can, filled woth sauces and you can put it on your takoyaki. 12 for 600 yen. They also have a smaller portion.
MoreExcellent takoyaki and very friendly service! It's simple, which makes it even more difficult to ensure that it is delicious. There is nothing to hide the flavor, so the sauce, the tako, the batter has to be perfect. It was exactly as you should be, crisp texture on the outside, gooey perfectly cooked interior, and a nice crunch to the octopus without being chewy. The flavor was spot on! I recently saw the Netflix show "Street Food" and found this restaurant through there. So glad I did. Will definitely be coming back during my stay in Osaka, thank you!
MoreTraditional Takoyaki balls. No fancy sauces, fillings or flakes. Two of us filled our stomach with 16 pcs. Will definitely be back again!
MoreTraditional old house. Have a beer, some takoyaki. No fanciful bonito flakes etc. Just a simple recipe passed down over the years. Spread your own takoyaki sauce. Away from the hustle and bustle of dontoburi.
MoreOMG! The Takoyaki here is simply amazing. Tasty, nicely chewy with some lovely crunch to the bite. One of the best Takoyaki I've ever had.
MoreWe loved this takoyaki place! They are some sort of japanese snacks with octopus pieces inside and crunchy cooked batter on the outside, really delicious. We ordered 8 of them with the sauce, and they were freshly made in front of us.
MoreWhen I went there after a long time, it was very beautiful. It was delicious. Is the former store owner retired and his son succeeding him?
MoreWorth the wait. They are an institution!
